I have been a psychotherapist in private practice since 2011 and a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT #43160) since 2006. I have a Master of Arts degree in Integral Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco.
I believe that having a good match with your therapist is one of the most effective indicators of a successful therapeutic and healing relationship. Therefore, in the beginning of our therapeutic work, I encourage having an open dialogue around how you are feeling about our work together. I understand that connection happens when there are shared experiences between individuals and this includes client-therapist relationships.
I have worked with a wide variety of individuals but I have a special interest in working with individuals who want to manage their lives more skillfully and connect to the positive aspects of living.
My own personal lived experiences have connected me well with immigrants, children of first generation Americans, BIPOC, people who have lived in other countries, from bicultural backgrounds and the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer communities.
